Kayak Therapy and Nature-Based Health Promotion are new concepts in Canada. I know you must have a lot of questions - I've done my best to answer most of them here, but the best way to learn more is to talk with me or try a program!

If you see a program that you’re interested in but you can’t make it to the scheduled date or time, please contact SeaStrengthHealth@gmail.com. SeaStrength Health’s goal is to remove barriers, and that includes making our programs accessible to shift workers, busy parents, working professionals and retirees juggling life’s challenges. Converting a two day program into 5 evenings or scheduling a specific program for a closed group of friends or coworkers is no problem, the options are endless.

SeaStrength Health is located on Vancouver Island, in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
Nanaimo is home to some beautiful, beginner friendly ocean and lake waterfronts. Departure Bay, Neck Point and Westwood lake offer excellent learning options. Other locations in Nanaimo will be used as well, depending on weather.

Vancouver Island’s rainy and dark Fall & Spring seasons leave many of us indoors, venturing out on rare sunny days that line up with work & life's demands. But if you’ve ever dressed for the weather and spent a day out hiking or paddling in the rain, you know that it can be just as great as a sunny day. When dressed properly, you’ll stay warm and dry, and get to witness the beauty of our surroundings come alive in the rain and wet weather in a totally different way. Consider joining a SeaStrength Health weekly group paddle, group class or try personal training to keep you healthy, moving and connected to the outdoors. Both private and group sessions are offered year-round.
Please note that sea kayaking sessions will be wind & wave dependent; sessions may be offered on lakes as needed in order to maintain consistent availability.
SeaStrength Health offers nature based health promotion services that tap into the healing power of nature, providing ways to boost health through activities like sea kayaking (and in future, stand-up paddleboarding) and fun outdoor workouts.
